Modern vehicles are more than just a way to get from point A to point B. Bigger screens, smarter connected services, and more reliable navigation have turned the cabin into a true digital hub. Now, Volkswagen is taking that evolution a step further, and parking your VW is about to get a lot more fun. Select 2027 Volkswagen models will debut AirConsole, an in-vehicle gaming platform that turns your infotainment display into a game screen. Whether you’re waiting on an EV charge, grabbing lunch, or taking a break on a road trip, AirConsole lets you and your passengers jump into interactive games while the vehicle is parked. Volkswagen is the first volume automaker in the U.S. to offer AirConsole, and it’s bringing some exclusive content along for the ride. That includes a custom version of PAC-MAN with Volkswagen-inspired touches. On compatible models and trims, select games can even sync with the vehicle’s ambient lighting, so the action spills into the whole cabin. How Does Volkswagen AirConsole Work? Getting started is simple. Here’s how it works: Open AirConsole. On 2027 VW models enrolled in In-Vehicle Premium, you can access AirConsole through the myVW app and play it right on your infotainment display. Connect your smartphone. Your phone (or any compatible smart device) becomes the game controller, so you don’t need extra hardware. Just scan the QR code on the screen or follow the on-screen connection steps. Passengers can join the same way, making multiplayer a breeze. Pick a game and play. Browse the library and start playing. The launch lineup includes well-known titles like PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition, UNO® Car Party!, Tetris®, and more. AirConsole is designed for use only while you’re parked, so it’s perfect for those in-between moments: showing up early for a doctor’s appointment, taking a break on a road trip, or waiting at a charging station. Availability depends on vehicle compatibility, connectivity, and applicable subscription requirements. Which 2027 Volkswagen Models Offer AirConsole Gaming? AirConsole won’t be available on the entire VW lineup. Here are the 2027 models that will feature it: Volkswagen Atlas Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Volkswagen Tiguan Volkswagen Golf GTI Volkswagen Golf R Volkswagen ID.
