Battery Power, Performance, and Range 

The 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 comes standard with a 62-kWh battery, making the base model a more affordable option than in previous years at $37,495. The 62-kWH battery has a range of 209 miles, but you can upgrade your battery to the 82-kWh option for a range of 275 miles and an improved charging speed.

The 2023 ID.4 standard 62 kWh battery comes with a 201-horsepower electric engine on the rear axle. With all-wheel drive and the available 82 kWh battery, you’ll increase that horsepower to 295 thanks to its electric engine on the front and rear axles.
