Bold Exterior Design

The first thing you will notice about the 2024 VW Taos is the streamlined exterior design. The VW Taos boasts subtle curves, a sculpted hood, a wide grille, and an LED lighting signature. All of these components contribute to its signature sporty look. The design is reminiscent of its larger siblings, like the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. It’s available in 11 exterior color options. A set of 17-inch wheels are standard, but 18- and 19-inch wheels are also available.

Versatile and Comfortable Interior  

The Taos cabin is designed for practicality and comfort. When it comes to upholstery, you’ll have options like CloudTex and cloth, pure CloudTex, and leather. No matter which you choose, you’ll ride in comfort!

Depending on the trim, the 2024 VW Taos cabin may be outfitted with customizable ambient lighting, an eight-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. 

The Taos boasts 37.9 inches of rear-seat legroom, which is only 0.8 inches less than the larger Volkswagen Tiguan. It’s also equipped with 28 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and you can fold them down to create up to 66 cubic feet of cargo space. 

Innovative Infotainment and Connectivity

The Taos features the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, complete with a fully digital and customizable instrument cluster that offers various views and options, including full-screen navigation. 

There are two infotainment systems available. The base S has a 6.5-inch touchscreen with a more basic interface, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SE, SE Black, and SEL have an 8-inch touchscreen with enhanced functionality, plus wireless charging and connectivity for Apple/Android devices. 

Performance and Fuel Economy

The VW Taos is powered by a turbocharged 1.5 TSI® engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is optional

The FWD Taos gets 28 MPG in the city, 36 MPG on the highway, and 31 MPG combined. The AWD model is rated at 25 MPG city and 32 MPG highway.

Safety and Driver Assist Features

The IQ.Drive driver assistance package is now standard on every Taos! This assistive technology gives you greater peace of mind every time you get behind the wheel. 

IQ.Drive includes:

• Forward collision warning (with pedestrian detection)
